Abstract :

Le projet OyaPêche s’intéresse aux modes de circulations dans le secteur de la pêche artisanale côtière et estuarienne entre les communes de l’Est guyanais et de l’Amapá au Brésil. Tout en s’insérant dans un projet de recherche doctorale en anthropologie à l’Université de Guyane, lequel s’étend plus largement sur le Plateau des Guyanes. Nous chercherons ici à étudier les interactions entre humains et environnement et plus particulièrement des marins-pêcheurs qui évoluent dans un contexte singulier : du littoral nord-amazonien. Pour ce faire, nous utiliserons un cadre théorique au croisement des études sur les migrations humaines et des techniques, pour tendre vers une compréhension d’un socio-écosystème régional côtier. L’objectif de ce projet est donc de caractériser les types de circulations en vigueur entre les espaces maritimes côtiers et estuariens guyanais et brésiliens susciter par la petite pêche. À partir de ces caractérisations, nous pourrons donc appréhender comment ces populations s’adaptent à leur environnement et tirent profit du différentiel normatif entre les deux côtés de la frontière. En prenant pour base les conclusions de la thèse de Pauline Laval en 2016, ce projet permettra de documenter tout un « système pêche » guyanais avec la mise en perspective de la perception des personnes qui parcourent ce territoire au-delà du pont c’est-à-dire vers la Guyane, à partir d’une interface terre et mer et au-delà des frontières.

The OyaPêche project focuses on circulation patterns in the coastal and estuarine artisanal fishing sector between the communes of eastern Guyana and Amapá in Brazil. As part of a doctoral research project in anthropology at the University of French Guyana, which extends more widely over the Guiana Shield. We are seeking to study the interactions between humans and the environment, and more specifically the fishermen who evolve in a singular context: the North-Amazonian coastline. To do so, we will use a theoretical framework at the crossroads of studies on human migrations and techniques, to move towards an understanding of a regional coastal socio-ecosystem. The aim of this project is therefore to characterize the types of circulation in force between the Guianese and Brazilian coastal and estuarine maritime spaces induced by small-scale fishing. Based on these characterizations, we will be able to understand how these populations adapt to their environment and take advantage of the normative differential between the two sides of the border. Building on the findings of Pauline Laval's 2016 thesis, this project will document an entire Guyanese "fishing system" by putting into perspective the perceptions of people who travel through this territory beyond the bridge, in other words, towards French Guiana, from a land-sea interface and across borders.
