Abstract :

Le projet ALOA, Archéologie Littorale Outre Atlantique (2020-2023, porté par le CNRS, soutenu par la Fondation de France, le Ministère de la Culture DAC Guadeloupe et la Région Guadeloupe) vise la protection par l'étude du patrimoine culturel côtier vulnérable. Inscrit dans une démarche d’adaptation aux conséquences des changements globaux et de la pression anthropique sur les littoraux, le projet ALOA https://aloa.blog/ vise à anticiper leurs effets destructeurs sur le patrimoine culturel, côtier et maritime, dans les Antilles françaises (archipel de Guadeloupe et Saint-Martin) grâce à une action participative et publique. Reposant sur l’observation et l’analyse de ces phénomènes, l’objectif principal est de contribuer à l’élaboration de solutions locales ou de stratégies globales afin d’identifier, de gérer ou de protéger les sites vulnérables du patrimoine côtier. Ce projet inter institutionnel et interdisciplinaire met en oeuvre une démarche de recherche-action largement fondée, d'une part, sur les sciences participatives et, d'autre part, sur la sensibilisation des gestionnaires du territoire et du public, aux différentes formes de vulnérabilité du patrimoine culturel. Dans ce cadre général qui s'intéresse aux îles de l'archipel guadeloupéen, un focus sera porté en 2022 sur le littoral de la commune de Petit-Bourg, sur la côte occidentale du Petit Cul de Sac Marin, où la réalisation d’un état sanitaire du patrimoine côtier impliquera les acteurs académiques et non académiques. La démarche reposera notamment sur une mission d’observation systématique du littoral de la commune de Petit-Bourg.

The ALOA project, Archéologie Littorale Outre Atlantique (2020-2023, led by the CNRS, supported by the Fondation de France, the Ministry of Culture DAC Guadeloupe and the Region of Guadeloupe) aims to preserve vulnerable coastal cultural heritage by recording it. The ALOA project https://aloa.blog/ is part of a process of adaptation to the consequences of global changes and human pressure on the coasts. It aims to anticipate their destructive effects on the cultural, coastal and maritime heritage in the French West Indies (Guadeloupe and Saint-Martin archipelago) thanks to a participative and public action. Based on the observation and analysis of these phenomena, the main objective is to contribute to the development of local solutions or global strategies to identify, manage or protect vulnerable coastal heritage sites. This inter institutional and interdisciplinary project implements an action research approach largely based, on the one hand, on participatory sciences and, on the other hand, on the sensitization of the territory managers and the public, to the various forms of vulnerability of the cultural heritage. In this general framework, which focuses on the islands of the Guadeloupe archipelago, a focus will be made in 2022 on the coastline of the town of Petit-Bourg, on the western coast of the Petit Cul de Sac Marin, where the realization of a sanitary state of coastal heritage will involve academic and non-academic actors. The approach will be based on a systematic observation mission of the Petit-Bourg touwn's coastline.
