Abstract :

Le territoire de Bitche a été fortement marqué par la militarisation, qu'il s'agisse des châteaux-forts, de la citadelle, des casernes ou du camp d'entrainement. L'ensemble des éléments directs de la militarisation constituent des traces et des marques paysagères qui servent à la production d'une identité territoriale forte. Les phases de démilitarisation avec les conversions mais aussi l'enfrichement et l'enruinement constituent aujourd'hui des ressources territoriales pour construire de nouvelles trajectoires territoriales et paysagères.

The territory of Bitche has been strongly marked by militarization, whether it is the fortified castles, the citadel, the barracks or the training camp. All the direct elements of militarization constitute traces and landscape marks which serve to produce a strong territorial identity. The phases of demilitarization with the conversions but also the fallow land and the destruction constitute today territorial resources to build new territorial and landscape trajectories.
