My research is at the interface between Ecology, Geography and Science and Technology Studies. It aims at producing applied knowledge in relation with the interaction between Human and Nature. Focusing on both local and continental scales, I develop and observe spatial methods to assess and plan environmental policies and associated social drivers shaping such expertise. Scientific knowledge does not only reflect the environment but as well contribute to shape it. My main interest therefore relies on the interaction between scientific rationality and socio-political dynamics at the science/policy interfaces. I'm particularly interested in the combination between participatory sciences, interdisciplinarity, new technologies and maps. My main topics of interest are large mammals (such as African great apes and European carnivores), protected areas and ecological networks.
