My research interest has been related to environmental sciences from the very beginning. I start my scientific career working in biotechnological solutions to antibiotic usage in aquaculture context. Then, I began my doctoral training in marine microbiology laboratory in Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, in which I developed my scientific training in environmental pollution related to trace element inputs in coastal environments as a byproduct of human activities from microbial ecology disipline. In a formative sense, I participate in two international graduate courses related to microbial ecology and geosciences: ECODIM and GeoBiology. The graduate training allowed me to put under perspective my scientific interest and acquired broad skills in environmental sciences, this mixed with a profound interest in field activities. I would like to continue pursuing a scientific career through a postdoctoral position in which I could developed into a interdisciplinary field, mixing disciplines as computer, molecular and geosciences in relation with human interactions within natural systems.
